About Feeding Tube Awareness Week
ausEE Inc. hosts Australasia’s Feeding Tube Awareness Week (FTAW), which will be celebrated nationally from 2-8 February 2025. FTAW aims to raise awareness about tube feeding and unite the community. Tube feeding, also known as enteral nutrition, is a way of providing nourishment to the body when a person is unable to eat or drink, or cannot eat or drink enough. There are different types of feeding tubes that deliver nutrition directly into the stomach or small intestine. On this website you will find #FTAW2025 resources, a list of landmarks that are lighting up purple and blue and can see what events are being held during FTAW. You can also read my tubie stories and specialist spotlights, learn about research, find support networks, resources, information and links to help people managing tube feeding all year round. We thank our FTAW Partners for helping to raise awareness. With your support we can increase awareness and understanding in the community by raising some of the challenges faced and highlighting the day-to-day impact of tube feeding on individuals, carers and families.

Light Up Landmarks
Landmarks, buildings and bridges across Australia and New Zealand will illuminate purple and blue during FTAW (2-8 February 2025) to raise awareness about tube feeding and show their support for people with feeding tubes.
We encourage the community to visit these #FTAWLightUp landmark locations on the light up night/s and take a photo to share on social media to help raise awareness!
