About Feeding Tube Awareness Week

Feeding Tube Awareness Week (FTAW) was celebrated from 1-7 February 2026 in Australia and New Zealand. Mark your calendar for next year, FTAW will be celebrated from 7-13 February 2027! FTAW raises awareness, shares information and resources, and provides support and connections to unite the community. Tube feeding, sometimes called enteral nutrition, provides essential nourishment for people who are unable to eat or drink by mouth, or who need extra support to meet their nutritional needs. There are different types of feeding tubes that deliver nutrition directly into the stomach or small intestine. People of all ages may use feeding tubes, including babies, children, teenagers, and adults. On this website you will find #FTAW2026 resources, a list of landmarks illuminating purple and blue and events held during FTAW including a free Virtual Education Program! You can also read my tubie stories and specialist spotlights, learn about research, find support networks, resources, information and links to help people managing tube feeding all year round. We thank our FTAW Partners for helping to raise awareness. With your support we can increase awareness and understanding in the community by raising some of the challenges faced and highlighting the day-to-day impact of tube feeding on individuals, carers and families.
